The power and chromatic features of LEDs are fundamental aspects to assess when choosing the most suitable component for each personalised project.

Colour rendering index (CRI)

The CRI is an index of 0 to 100 that describes the capacity of a light source to faithfully reveal the colours of an illuminated object in comparison with sunlight.

A high colour rendering index indicates a good quality LED. The higher the CRI, the better the colour rendering ability.

The main assessment criteria

Uniformity of light

The correct combination of LED placement* and type of opalescent covering guarantees uniform distribution of light.

Continuous light

Discontinuous light

How the CRI is assessed

If a blue object is illuminated by two light sources with different CRIs, it is easy to see how the colour of the object differs.

Colour spectrum analysis

Analysis reveals that our LEDs emit the entire spectrum of visible light naturally and uniformly.
